The international team of the two IB PYP Assessors, who had come all the way from South-East Asia for the school’s IB PYP Verification visit (10-12 October 2012):
Kim Engasser, Vice Principal, International School of Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Kate Grant, PYP Coordinator, New International School of Thailand, Bangkok, Thailand
The two of them were very impressed by the school’s and teacher’s hard work. The two of them interviewed all teachers, a few children from each class, a group of parents and the management, and were highly satisfied by the school’s implementation of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program and the way children were being brought up in the school.
Kim, originally from California, USA, and Kate, originally from New Zealand, loved their visit to India and were happy about how IB PYP was coming up in India.
As of 25 January 2013, The Modern School has been fully authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organization, Geneva, Switzerland to offer the Primary Years Program. The Modern School is the 42nd school in India to do so, a list of some of the most well known schools of India, and the first school in Lucknow.
